Although we currently have two systems up in the Atlantic right now (Fiona and Gaston), the big news for me is 99L. The current spag is indicating that Florida should watch this system — east coast, west coast, and gulf coast. Here’s the full spag:
The model error rate for the latter portion of the model runs is always wildly off; but for the last couple of model runs, the system has been trending more towards the east coast including Florida, and the Gulf of Mexico including Cuba.
Basically, it’s a system to watch. And so I will.
